入居者インタビュー第５弾となります今回は、2022年8月よりQのコワーキングスペースにご入居いただいております、

株式会社デジ改善のプアン・ツヤン・クリストファーさまにお話を伺っていきます。(以下クリスさん)

クリスさんはシンガポールのご出身で、大学卒業後は母国で公務員をされていたそうです✨

出身大学はアジア圏No１との呼び声高いシンガポール国立大学(実際に「2022年世界大学ランキング」では、世界11位、アジア1位の評価を得ている)。

さらに中国語・英語・日本語を操るトリリンガル…さらにさらに様々な資格もお持ちで、デジタルマーケティングの修士号を始めTESOL(英語を教えるための資格)やデザイナーの資格など計６種の資格をお持ちなんだとか…凄いの一言です😲。

本インタビューではクリスさんの事業内容はもちろん、お人柄についてもお伝え出来ればと思います✨

ひ）

本日はお忙しい中インタビューにご協力下さいましてありがとうございます！

早速ですがクリスさんの経歴について教えてください。

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule today to do this interview!

Please also tell us about your background.

　

Christopher）

I first came to Japan in 2017 and initially worked as an English teacher.I was working in IT companies in Tokyo as an in-house trainer as well as doing business development in a Kimono Store in Asakusa. Because of the pandemic, I went back to Singapore and focused on developing my skillset in training and digital marketing. 

Before I came to Fukuoka in Aug 2022, I was running my small business providing digital marketing consultancy, live streaming and was a trainer with 3 different training schools.

（2017年に初めて日本に来て、最初は英語教師として働いていました。その後、東京のIT企業でインハウストレーナーとして働きながら、浅草の呉服屋で事業開発をしていました。パンデミックの影響で一旦シンガポールに戻り、研修やデジタルマーケティングのスキルアップに力を入れました。

2022年8月に再び福岡に来る前は、デジタルマーケティングのコンサルティングやライブ配信を行うスモールビジネスを運営し、3つのトレーニングスクールでトレーナーとして活躍していました。）

　

　

　

ひ）

再来日する前に既に事業を初めていたのですね。でも、なぜシンガポールではなく日本で事業を展開しようと思ったのですか？

You had already started your business before you came back to Japan.But why did you decide to develop your business in Japan instead of Singapore?

　　　

Christopher）

I was impressed by Japan’s hospitality culture and travel/transportation system when I worked in Tokyo, and also because it is a safe place to live.

(東京で働いていた時に、日本のおもてなし文化や旅行・交通システムに感銘を受けましたし、やはり治安が良いからですね。)

　

　

　

ひ）

都心部の鉄道網は凄いですよね。鉄道員だった私にとっても東京での乗り換えは難しく感じます。全て日本語なのに(笑)

数あるコワーキングスペースから「Q」を選んで下さった理由があれば教えて下さい。

The rail network in central Tokyo is amazing. Even for me, who used to be a railroad worker, I find it difficult to change trains in Tokyo. Even though it’s all in Japanese (lol).

What were your reasons for choosing “Q” from among the many coworking spaces?

　

Christopher）

I was recommended by my mentors from the Startup Centre in Daimyo who said that the environment in Q is international with foreign founders and being in Hakata station, it is extremely convenient for myself, guests and potential students in the future.

(大名のスタートアップセンターのメンターから、Qは外国人創業者が多く国際的な環境であり、博多駅にあるため、自分自身やゲスト、将来的な生徒候補にとって非常に便利だと薦められたからです。)

JR九州直営ならではの立地なので我々スタッフも立地の良さを実感しています。

Qには韓国・インドネシア・タイ・チリと多くの国籍の方がいらっしゃいますし、Qはコワーキングスペースの相互利用先として「The company」や「poool」を始め、その他のコワーキングスペースとも相互利用が出来るのでぜひご活用して下さいね！

We, the staff, feel that the location is excellent because it is directly managed by JR Kyushu.

Q has many nationalities such as Korean, Indonesian, Thai, and Chilean, and Q has reciprocal use of coworking spaces such as “The company” and “poool” as well as other coworking spaces, so please take advantage of it!

現在の事業内容を教えていただけますか？

Please tell us about your company’s business.

　

Christopher）

Digikaizen provides Digital Skills training for new job seekers, people looking to switch careers into an IT based role and also for people looking to start their own business.

After the pandemic, there has been a push for digitalisation globally and Japan is a growing market for digitalisation as well as digital upskilling.

On the side, we also offer digital marketing consulting for the international market as well as live streaming and media creation services.

（デジ改善では、転職希望者、IT系職種への転職希望者、起業希望者を対象に、デジタルスキルのトレーニングを提供しています。

パンデミック以降、世界的にデジタル化が推進され、日本はデジタル化およびデジタルスキルアップのための成長市場となっています。

その傍らで、海外向けのデジタルマーケティングのコンサルティングや、ライブストリーミング、メディア制作のサービスも提供しています。）

パンデミック以前は全ての事業が対面だったとお聞きしましたが、すぐに時勢に合わせた業態にシフトしたのですね。具体的にどのようにQオフィスを利用していますか？

I understand that before the pandemic, all of your businesses were face-to-face, but you quickly shifted your business type to match the times.How exactly do you utilize the Q Office?

　

Christopher）

I mainly use it for work and study (I am currently studying for my MBA as well as running my business). 

When my courses are running, I will be using the meeting rooms as my classroom.

（主に仕事と勉強のために使っています。現在、MBAの勉強をしながら、ビジネスを展開しています。

講座があるときは、会議室を教室として使う予定です。）

Other companies in the education industry in Japan and companies looking to enter the Singapore market would be compatible with our company since we can offer the expertise for market entry into Singapore. 

(日本国内の教育関連企業や、シンガポールへの進出を考えている企業であれば、シンガポール進出のノウハウを提供できるため、相性が良いと思います。)

We are looking to collaborate with recruitment companies who service international clients.

Our unique proposition is that we offer bilingual digital skills courses which can allow learners to experience an English learning environment despite not being specifically an English conversion school.

We can provide upskilling /reskilling opportunities for potential candidates before they proceed further up the recruitment process.

(海外のクライアントにサービスを提供する人材紹介会社とのコラボレーションを模索しています。

当社独自のサービスとして、特に英会話スクールではないにもかかわらず、英語学習もデジタルスキルも身に付けることができるバイリンガルデジタルスキルコースを提供していることです。
